Monitoring Isabella's breathing overnight

Our little Isabel is sick. She had goo built up in her eyes this morning, an odd, almost labored breath, and hasn’t wanted to eat today. She’s always had a thing where, if she purred too much, she would have a cough or gag attack. This would advance into a sort of breathing that sounded slightly uncomfortable. That’s how she’s been breathing throughout the day. Just a short, raspy sound. We had a moment of panic and put it in the mini kennel to drive forty minutes to Ahwadia to see an emergency clinic. But a few minutes into the drive, I had a second thought and realized we were not experiencing an emergency. We decided to go home and monitor her. If she got worse, we’d go. Otherwise, we’ll wait until the morning to see a traditional bat. So far, she’s been the same, relaxing and watching the other cats have fun. Danny was even able to feed her a little bit of her lickables. Now she’s curled up, resting against my foot in bed, looking nice and comfortable. I can still hear her raspy breaths, but she’s at least relaxed and will make it to the morning.
